1138656 2010-09-21 02:52:00 Hi there,

Have just built my new gaming PC, 3rd pc I've ever built.
I have 6GB ram installed, the problem is that the Bios states there is 4GB usable, and Windows7 64bit reports 4GB ram.
I ran CPU-Z and it correctly reports 6GB.

How do I get the Bios and Windows to regognize the entire 6GB as usable ram?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice you can provide.

My Sys specs are as below:

CPU : Intel i7 930, with stock cooler
Mobo : Asus P6X58D-E
Ram : 3x2GB Corsair XMS3
GPU : Gigabyte GTX480
HDD : WD Caviar Black 2TB
OS : Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Case : Antec 902
PSU : CoolerMaste Silent Pro 850W

1138657 2010-09-21 03:17:00 I am guessing you have a duff or unseated stick hence detected as installed but not usable, seen it before.

Re-seat and if still no good, test one or two sticks at a time to isloate the culprit.

1138659 2010-09-21 03:48:00 The board Has 6 slots, 3 Black and 3 Blue. (3 sets of Two)

What slots are the RAM Modules in ?

Make sure they are in slots A1, B1 & C1 As per the Manual (www.imagef1.net.nz) (blue slots)
