862202 2010-02-28 03:24:00 Some sites, including it appears Press F1 may have set up "interest" based ads to display with Google Adsense. Thus some targeted ads to a visitor arriving on a Google adsense site, may be displayed based on a visitors recent browsing history. For example I have just spent 2 hours updating my Google maps/hotel site, and currently some maps and hotel ads are displaying in press F1.

Could very likely be that. Google is evil in those ways.

862208 2010-02-28 05:11:00 Actually come to think of it, i have sworn at google search a few times when it doesn't return what i want, perhaps this is googles subtle way of calling me a Wayne Kerr Morgenmuffel (187)

Yup thats exactly how it works, have a look at the LCD Plasma TV thread, the ads on it are all for TVs, normally I have adblock but I am playing with Opera 10.5 at the mo, and haven't bothered to add a blocking script
