| 861753 | 2010-02-26 08:15:00 | I send out a fortnightly newsletter to members of my sportsgroup . (about 25) I put all the addresses it the "To" field on the basis that all members can see who else got the message and to let evewryone know everyone elses email address . One member has taken me to task saying that the addresses should be in the "BCC" field so that they cannot be harvested by spammers . Does he have a point? I would have thought that spammers harvesting email addresses would be grabbing at whatever was in the "To","CC" and the "BCC" fields . Is there any validity in what he says or if a scumbag is harvesting he will get the address no matter where it is . |

| 861759 | 2010-02-26 19:53:00 | Create a mail list containing all the email addresses (including your own) and then with one click, place it in the BCC field. That is the safest way to mailout to a group. It is rude to place all names in the "To" filed. Especially as some people will forward that same email on to others and so on ad infinitum :( |
