862184 2010-02-27 22:07:00 wmoore, that sort of advice is just plain stupid. By all means, don't evacuate and panic, but actually going out to the beach to check it out is just asking for trouble. Yes, it will probably end up being nothing, but is it really worth risking it?

Sorry should of added a ;)...There hope that makes everyone happy.

862185 2010-02-28 04:41:00 Just after 1.15pm today SWMBO and I drove over the Westshore Bridge and saw the water rushing out. Looked like white water in a rapid flowing river. Never been like that before.

862186 2010-02-28 05:40:00 In Auckland today all the ships and fairies left their moorings and heading out into the channel just in case but guess who stayed mored?? The Good ol NZ Navy. Guess they could find the matches to fire up the boilers. Fat use they would be in an emergency.. paulw (1826)
862187 2010-02-28 05:45:00 Would the Auckland side of Devonport be affected by the tsunami wave?

And I also noticed that Roddy_Boy didn't spell Chile right in the title. So quick to judge others I see.

862189 2010-02-28 05:59:00 That bit about the money is the real fairy story, Mr. Hyde got it for his travel rebate fund. R2x1 (4628)
