| 1140316 | 2010-09-28 10:33:00 | Any one ever hooked up a ESATA drive to a netbook or laptop. Netbook hasnt got a esata port so need to get a adaptor. I have seen there is: ExpressCard to eSATA Converter USB 2.0 to eSATA www.trademe.co.nz www.trademe.co.nz www.trademe.co.nz www.trademe.co.nz What is a ExpressCard? I have usb ports on the netbook and a card reader slot. Netbook is a Acer Aspire one A0532H Thanks |

| 1140319 | 2010-09-28 21:07:00 | ohok so I best to go usb to esata I can't see any advantage in that. Does your external hard disk have a USB2 port? Adding a eSata adapter will not increase your speed as it will be limited by the USB2 port speed. |

| 1140324 | 2010-09-29 04:42:00 | I agree with nedkelly, if your external device has USB then just use that. No point buying the eSATA to USB adapter unless your device only has eSATA. No speed will be gained as you will be limited to USB2.0 speed. |
