| 1140102 | 2010-09-28 02:58:00 | Hi Guys Does anyone know of any backup software for Windows 7 (free) that just copies the files as they are in their folders ? Ie rather than compresing them all into one file ? I like the idea of this as then the data can be put straight into another machine etc. At the moment I do it manually using a few vbs scripts, but they are "home written" and very basic and do not work very well. Thanks |

Or you can copy the destination files onto the source if different. I use it to sync my internal and my external HDDs. Does not work with W7 Systems Image folder. |

| 1140107 | 2010-09-28 22:18:00 | robocopy c:\ u:\backup /b /a /e /R:0 /W:0 /xj /eta /A-:RASHNT Dont use Xcopy, it can crash out part way through a copy, especially with multi-nested dirctories (known bug) robocopy sometimes needs that attrib reset switch at the end with Win7 |
