2010-09-27 01:50:00 | What should a new box cost with up to date kit with 4 gig ram,not a gamer.? | Cicero (40) | |
2010-09-27 01:54:00 | Depends what mobo , CPU / ram you get | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-09-27 01:57:00 | can probably get a 3GHz dual core, 4GB DDR3, reasonable mobo, 500GB HDD, case, PSU, DVDRW for $600, maybe $650 if you want something slightly better than onboard video? Less if you go lower spec of course, I think you'd struggle to find anything worthwhile with 4GB RAM for under $450 tho. This is purely the PC, no peripherals, software, etc, and only moderate quality (micro ATX board, el cheapo case etc). | inphinity (7274) | |
2010-09-27 01:58:00 | Depends what mobo , CPU / ram you get Reasonably fast of good quality.

2010-09-27 01:59:00 | Reasonably fast of good quality. I'd probably look at more like $800 then to step it up a little.. maybe an i3 or Phenom II, 4GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, etc.

2010-09-27 02:40:00 | Depends on what you want to do with it. higher the Spec's higher the prices. Quick maths. These prices are from Ascent. Intel Core i5 661 3.33GHz - $361.00 1TB HDD - $130 Corsair PSU - 550 Watt - $175 Case - Varies on what you want - $65 + DVD Writer - $60 OS W7 - $175 motherboard - $200+ Graphic Card, Varies - ( bottom end) $90 - Upwards Memory 4GB $170 Theres $1426 to start with. Just done a quote this morning, the person started off with a I3-530 $194.00 and we ended up at a I5-661 $361.00 CPU It really depends on what you want to do, the CPU will be the most expensive part, then the graphic Card, then generally followed by the motherboard.
