| 1139359 | 2010-09-24 11:50:00 | Have decided I totally hate Slingshot :mad::badpc: Since I've moved house, I've had nothing but problems. My internet connection keeps dropping (and because I work at home and use the Internet for my job) this is seriously damaging!:annoyed::waughh: Their customer service? Unbelievable. Ya ring and then sit on the phones for AGES.. waiting for someone to pick up and then they have the cheek to tell ya that there's nothing wrong with your connection blah blah blah when obviously there is, otherwise it wouldn't keep disconnecting!!! URGGG!:( So I've decided 'enough is enough' I want a new ISP... anyone? any suggestions??? Pretty please, I'm kind of desperate so needing a really good one: Thanking you in advance |

I have been with Slingshot close to a year and had no problems with the connection at my previous address. Its only since I moved here, that I cant seem to hold it.. Slingshot said its my location blah blah Im too far from the exchange, though I cant see how, since I more or less just moved around the corner.. then they tried saying it was the phone lines so I called in the Telecom technicians (who charged me $80 for the joy) to check my lines.. and what do ya know.. nothing wrong with them.. grrr! My contract with Slingshot is pratically over, time to move on |

Unplugged all devices, plug them back in one at a time to see when/if problem comes back? Tried another modem - what modem are you using? They checked the lines - where and how exactly? You can have a problem at the gate - or the lines from the gate to the house - or from the master jackpoint to other jackpoints - even the jackpoints themselves. You checked all that? If you have - I'd suggest Orcon. Most of the West exchanges have Orcons equipment in them now too - except Henderson exchange. |
