863175 2010-03-02 07:12:00 Anyone knows how to replace the left side (near to the front door) turning indicator light assembly? It's a Nissan Wingroad 2006 bk T (215)
863176 2010-03-02 07:40:00 I did one on a mitz, just popped it out with a screw driver, it was held in by a springy piece of metal, be careful of paint though hueybot3000 (3646)

Thought so; - should be similar, I think. Removing it without scratching the paintwork can be tricky, though. Maybe I should buy the part first to see whether there is any screw holding it before trying to pop it out.

Thanks, hueybot3000.

863178 2010-03-02 07:50:00 Fold a couple of tissues or something and put it in behind the screwdriver when you start prying, should do the trick hueybot3000 (3646)
863179 2010-03-02 08:17:00 You just bought it... Unless you broke it, I'd take it back and have them FIX it free of charge.
As with a dysfunctional side indicator, you car isn't road worthy.

Should just pop out like the n00by pirateman said.

Try masking tape to prevent scratches?

Yeah. The guy promised me to replace it but he didn't. He said it is very difficult to get it replaced and he has to arrange for the car to send it back to the workshop which may take up to a day or 2 to get it done! Meaning, I'll be without a car for 2 days, to be more conservative. :groan:

863181 2010-03-02 08:43:00 They can be absolute bastards to change. I guess they designed it so it clipped in once on assembly and thats your wack jack. The japs sure dont make it easy to work on their vehicles. You should try working on a Komatsu compactor you want to scream with rage with the way they have bolts in places you cant get a normal spanner on. prefect (6291)

Thanks hueybot3000. I'm in Auckland.

BYW, in your Mitz, the clips holding the light, does it breaks easily? The electrical connection, is it a plug-in type of has to be soldered on to it?

863184 2010-03-02 22:17:00 I don't know whether you could get at through the front wheel arch. You would have to unscrew the plastic mud guard inside.
:)
