862996 2010-03-02 03:16:00 On the way to athletics today I got hit in the face by a wasp (I was biking) and it stung me right underneath my eye. It burned like acid and swelled up amazingly. I got to the track and iced it and still managed to do discus (1st) and high jump (2nd) (which were conveniently on at the same time) while half blind. The swellings mostly gone down now but it still aches. (Eyeache???)

Anyway... share your horror stories below...

862997 2010-03-02 03:18:00 I got one just inside my ear a few years ago, that was frickin annoying!

Also inner thigh, was running in stubbies and one found it's way up there, there was not much running happening for a few days. The chafage factor was massive.

I used to be quite allergic, had trouble breathing, puffy eyes, the whole works. Now it hardly bothers me, guess your body builds up some sort of immunity after a while.

Wasps are far worse that bees, bees can only sting once, a wasp will get the sewing machine effect going if you really piss him off.

862998 2010-03-02 03:20:00 While taking us home from school our bus driver had a wasp zip up the leg of his shorts. That bus must have set some kind of record for stopping fast. His language was restrained, but his expressions and complexion were pretty colourful. The little dance he did on the roadside impressed us all the most.

The worst place I have personally been stung was near Drury.

863003 2010-03-02 04:13:00 Even more reason you should do it.

Embarrassment (and or silly) pics break the ice. And will get you epic respect for doing it, cause 99.9% of people wouldn't have the balls to do it.

863004 2010-03-02 04:15:00 Riding a motor bike once, I felt this thing crawling down my neck, then it stung me. Bee or a wasp can't remember.
