2010-03-04 22:33:00 | Bit late now, but tea yesterday consisted of several Stellas, lasagna, another Stella and then ice cream with far too much chocolate sauce. Really enjoyed it! :banana | wratterus (105) | |
2010-03-05 00:03:00 | Ah - - - - you're all a bunch of pikers! I made roast leg of lamb (Australian,, boneless - since they wuz all out of the NZ good stuff) and (don't hurt me, I'm only an American) Yorkshire Pudding . Yup . Americans like lamb - at least this Yank does, but we tend to create fusion foods when we add things like Yorkshire Pudding, which any good UK-er knows only goes with a cooked cow of some sort . Served with Yellow Tail Shiraz (gads! I didn't realize I had an All Aussie night!) during the meal and Cuban coffee as the desert choice For desert I made Mincemeat tarts with whipped cream and Galliano flavoring . The crust was to die for!

2010-03-05 01:55:00 | Hey I found a recipe for pie and tart crusts that is made like I never saw before . It has no refrigeration or cold butter/lard and no using a rolling pin . If you're interested, just ask . I used it in my tarts last night .

2010-03-05 02:08:00 | It would be sacrilege to say otherwise . I know I shouldn't create "fusion" menus, but I love Yorkshire and with lamb it just fits so well . I make it without the beef drippings - and used lamb drippings instead . Yu-u-mmmm! Add copious amounts of cheap libation in the form of Australian wine and it doesn't matter after a few glasses - even to an Upsidedown Land-er .

2010-03-05 02:23:00 | I made roast leg of lamb ! I've got loads of the stuff. Got a lamb the other week - NZ$80. SHoulder chops, racks, leg roasts, fillet, backstrap, shanks and a few misc bits for doing whatever with.

We just gotta be careful - alligators are an endangered species here and humans consuming them or their unborn children ist verboten!. We never had this conversation. |
