1139833 2010-09-27 01:07:00 Hi, I have a Thompson TG585v7 and a Netgear DG834GT i'm tiring to pair them up with a network cable so that i could have the Thompson TG585v7 Next to my 2 desktops (so that I can use cables for these). The room where my desktops are, is furtherest to my neighbor( they have around 3 laptops). I know you can pair them. Here is linkhttp://www.the-scream.co.uk/forums/t29008.html

1139834 2010-09-27 01:18:00 So the Thompson has the broadband and dhcp, give a netgear an static IP address at the end of the dhcp range, use the thompson as default gateway, done!
When wired client connect to thompson, they get dhcp, when wireless connect to netgear the IP addy comes from thompson through the netgear.

1139836 2010-09-27 02:36:00 You can only use the phone line once!....why the phone cable running around the house, the 2 devices need to be attached together by a network cable. If you need a stronger signal at the other end of the house, you could buy a second netgear and use a bridge connection so the 2nd transmitter boosts the signal.....

How about a long lead under the house to the other side?
