| 1140616 | 2010-09-30 02:02:00 | I have a Compaq nx6326 laptop which appears to have a locked drive. I put it into an external case and can view all files and folders but cannot copy some very important files from it. The drive has Win XP Pro installed and has had a botched repair install done. The install failed as the HDD Admin account was password protected. The Admin password was cleared but the hard drive still seems locked & cannot resume the repair install - just continually restarts -even in safe mode. If I can get the data off I will be a happy chappy!!! Hope this all makes sense |
