1140246 2010-09-28 22:19:00 I'm sure there must be plenty of good RDP-compatible apps available for an ipad, there are for Android. inphinity (7274)

If you are not inside the work LAN, I imagine you will need VPN software (least I hope so), and you will also need an RDP client which can install on the iPad....

1140248 2010-09-28 22:21:00 iPhone has an app called remote desktop lite - rdp, so ipad should be able to get the same!

edit look for remote desktop plus

1140249 2010-09-28 23:00:00 There's several available if you search for "Remote Desktop", some have "HD" in the name denoting they're for the iPad (Which has always baffled me, 1024x768 isn't HD), many free.

PPTP VPN comes with the iPhone amongst other things, and you can always port-forward from external if you need :)

1140251 2010-09-28 23:18:00 I had several free for my iPhone using it to remote-desktop to my WinXP / Win7 machines at home, though AFAIK the free ones don't usually have the "extra" funcitons of the paid ones :) Chilling_Silence (9)

This worked perfectly - easy to set up and straight into my terminal server function at work!

Cheers!
