1140777 2010-09-30 21:42:00 It'll be in the BIOS somewhere. It may say the version near the top of the post screen (not the bottom). Is memtest still running now? If it is are there any errors? How many sticks of ram are on the mobo? Speedy Gonzales (78)

I have found it, it says 2005.
There are 4x2gb ram sticks.
And yes, I have just started it.

EDIT:: There are no errors yet.

1140779 2010-09-30 21:46:00 You wont be able to use 8 GB of ram in XP (if its the 32 bit version). If this is what youre trying to install. Remove 4 GB Speedy Gonzales (78)

I have tried installing it with 1 ram stick in, it didn't work.
I will leave the memtest for the night and see how it goes.
I will try to install windows xp with 1 ram stick again, just in case I forgot to do something.

I will post on this topic about the memtest in the morning.

Thanks for your help !

1140783 2010-10-01 17:36:00 I didn't leave memtest for the whole night because I couldn't get to sleep.
So I have upgraded my BIOS version, but still nothing happens. I have cleaned my ubuntu cd. I have tried installing it, but when it goes to the partition thing, it just loads for ages, so I turned it off.

I will tell you what's going on with xp.

1140784 2010-10-01 18:17:00 Nope,
when it loads then it goes straight to BSoD. I think before I had a chance to click enter ? :S
I will try ubuntu again.

1140785 2010-10-01 18:20:00 Set the BIOS to its default settings then reconfigure it, then save the settings.

Whats the brand/model of this hdd you installed?? Does the BIOS detect it now?

And will you be using AHCI or not?? If you're not, don't forget to disable it / change it to IDE / compatibility mode in the BIOS. Otherwise setup wont see the hdd (If you're trying to install XP). But don't enable it again after, otherwise it'll crash (if you do manage to install windows). Is it the same stop error? You sure its the M4A785TD-V EVO and NOT the M4A785TD-V EVO/U3S6 mobo?? Since there's 2 models of this mobo

OH MY GOD !
It is a M4A785TD-V EVO/U3S6 mobo and I have updated my BIOS to M4A785TD-V EVO !

What should I do?

I will update the BIOS again with the /U3S6.
