1140974 2010-10-02 00:43:00 Did you plug it in then turn it on?? Whats the brand/model of the scanner. What cant find the scanner, a program or the install? (did you leave it unplugged while you installed the drivers)?Yes, I plugged it in then turned on power. It is a Microtek Scanmaker model 3840. It installed "Scanwizard" and "Microtek Scanner". Clicking on either Icon it says can't find scanner. Pato (2463)
1140975 2010-10-02 01:01:00 Is it 32 or 64 bit windows 7?? If its 64 bit, it looks like the Microtek ArtixScanDI 1210 64 bit drivers will work with this scanner

www.sevenforums.com is 32 bit. I am quite sure I followed your instruction with installation. Would there be any point in uninstalling it and trying again.? I thought it would at least find the scanner even if it didn't work.?

1140977 2010-10-02 01:29:00 Did you unzip it then update the driver (I would say in device manager)? And select the folder that guy selected? I would uninstall what you just did and the previous drivers, then try again Speedy Gonzales (78)

I would uninstall what you just did and the previous drivers, then try againI didn't have to unzip anything. I just ran the .exe file and followed the prompts. It created a destination folder automatically. In the "Scanwizard" folder there
are three Dir. disks. Disk 1 has the setup.exe plus others. Disks 2 and 3 have data.

1140979 2010-10-02 01:44:00 So you downloaded the 32 bit drivers for the ArtixScanDI 1210 then?

If winzip is installed right mouse on it and see if it gives you the option to extract the files in this exe file
