He says that at present the Japs are exploiting a loophole in the 20-year old IWC agreement and killing as many whales as they like for "research". But if we allow commercial whaling, we can put a quota on the number of whales that will be killed each year. That will be better than the present situation. And once a quota is set, it can be reduced by agreement. Whereas at present there is no limit. So this poll is just shallow and anyone who signs it is ignorant. |
