| 865290 | 2010-03-09 20:23:00 | I guess you can say I also have a slanted veiw on all this. First of all I actually own a 2004 toyota prius. So I can't value the ideas or comments from anyone who does not actually own or at least drive a prius or toyota. So whatever to your rude remarks. Having said that my brother in law owns a toyota corolla, which I have drove and I really dont like the car at all. He is a slob and does not take care of it at all, and like 5 times now he has lost or distroyed the plastic clips that hold the floor mat in place. I have purchase these for him on 2 different occastions and replace them for him. And even before the whole thing came down about this being any type of issue I keep telling him to take care of the floor mat, because he kicks it up under the brake and gas petal and I have warned him that he is going to end up in a wreck due to the gas petal getting stuck on the mat and not being able to brake due to the mat is stuffed under the brake petal. But he is and idiot and if you look at his car today you will see the mat stuffed up under the petals. Now I also want to say that this guy is lying, what his is saying happened to him is BS. You can put a prius into neutal at any speed. I KNOW I HAVE DONE IT. I will be happy to show you. This guy is also full of it trying to say the car jumped, I can tell you from driving my own and my mother in laws prius witch is an 08, that these cars do not jump at highways speeds. If your traveling at 60 mph and stomp the gas petal to the flow the engine revs up but the automatic transmission increase the speed but it is nothing like a jump. This guy is just looking to get some money out of toyota. I hope toyota is able to prove it. I want this guy to do a lie dectector and I'll put money on it he won't pass it. | Sanity (15665) | ||

| 865292 | 2010-03-10 00:26:00 | I didn't know that the Prius came pre-installed with flowers ("petals") - is this something Toyota have picked up from the VW Beetle?? :D | johcar (6283) | ||
| 865293 | 2010-03-10 00:29:00 | Translation error - they got floral mats instead of floor mats. Maybe a flawed floral floor arrangement? | R2x1 (4628) | ||

| 865295 | 2010-03-10 02:04:00 | I read last week in the Herald that to stop an engine on a Lexus you had to push the 'stop start' button for 5 secs before you could turn the ignition off. Someone who is in an unfamiliar vehicle would not know this.Can not remember the year and model of the particular Lexus... Also you can not shift into neutral. | gradebdan (2186) | ||
