| 1140585 | 2010-09-29 22:07:00 | Hi all, I have just put a fresh install of XP on my laptop, trouble is now I can't get an internet connection to my wireless router. In the laptop I have had a look in " device manager " it says under " Network adaptors " 1394 Net adaptor Intel[R] PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network connection Marvell Yuckon 88E8036 PCI-E fast ethernet controller But after that it has " other devices " with a yellow question mark on it and it says - PCI Modem. When I go to network settings I get - 1394 connection - Wireless network connection- NOT Connected - Local area connection - Net cable unpluged , not connected. I can get intenet on my desktop PC but not the laptop, so if anyone could help it be appreciated. My laptop is a toshiba tecra A3 thanks. |

I clicked on repair and it said - windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed- Connecting to a wireless network. then i clicked on view available networks - it said - no wireless networks were in range. |

Or maybe look at the control panel web page for configuration settings (e.g. under network) for your router to see if it's sending out a wireless signal. | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||
