| 864894 | 2010-03-08 07:32:00 | Next week i have to be in palmy (palmerston north) by 7am, and i am not allowed to drive myself there, so i have been offered a lift to a motel or some such place that i can then walk from to Aorangi hospital. (tuesday nite needed) please any reccomendations? not over the top price, budget accomodation but not horendous. Livable and clean. i wont be eating and apart from watching telly and sleeping not much else. Oh and i wont be coming back to the room again once i leave at 6.30 ish. :( suggestions please. beetle |

| 864896 | 2010-03-08 09:00:00 | hi beetle. Have you considered bed and breakfast? Nice way for a lady travelling alone. Have a female friend who uses them from time to time around the South Island. Google "bed and breakfast Palmerston North NZ" and take a few minutes to view the offerings and their rates. |

| 864897 | 2010-03-08 09:07:00 | Thanxs for that, :D as i wont be able to eat breaky, it will be arrive after tea like and off to the hospital in the morning, so sleep and watch telly is the idea, i dont want a cheap and nasty place, but i do need comfort, and i want to feel safe, comfy and not isolated........... and walking distance to the hos[ital. I will look up bed and breaky places, i wont have any wheels, so am trying not to need a taxi. beetle :) |

| 864901 | 2010-03-18 05:40:00 | Well i ran out of time and work had found me some where to stay on monday........ so i went down tuesday night and stayed at Kingsgate hotel, in a outside studio room, for $85 and i was comfy, big bed, nice bathroom and sky so i was sorted. was nice. and i got home to my own house tonight........... bliss....... 48 hours in strange places... :stare: admittedly it was not real real close to aorangi hosp, but it was nice, quite and convenient, i didnt use the resturant, so no idea on that, but would consider it again if i needed. Thanks for all your help, just was unable to get something organised even tho i had tried to........... my time table went to the pack, and lucky for me work helped. :) beetle. |

It's accommodation, usually half price or below, the only catch being you can only book 2 weeks ahead. Which is great if you need something last minute.
