| 1141140 | 2010-10-02 20:22:00 | Hi, i have a acer aspire one mini net book and i installed windows 7 ultimate over XP and it works great, but the programs i need to use aren't compatible with windows 7, i want to restore it back to factory XP with the D2D recovery (e recovery) but the f10/alt f10 doesn't work. How can i fix this? | its4taylor (15996) | ||
| 1141141 | 2010-10-02 20:32:00 | What programs? Everything I used on XP works on win 7. Have a look at this link (www.fixya.com) Does it have a restore partition or recovery discs? |

That's because you probably overwrote your recovery partition when you installed win7, so unless you made a recovery set of discs (from that partition) as advised by the manufacturer, you're out of luck. You may be able to order a set from the manufacturer or the vendor. Alternatively, if there is a sticker on the netbook with a 25 character code ( your COA ), you should be able to use a borrowed xp disc (as long as it matches type (OEM etc)), to reinstall. |
