867486 2010-03-15 22:46:00 Girls punished by having to spend time with their registered sex offender father?:

www.abc.net.au

Now who here on this forum thinks the girls should be punished for a crime their father committed?

I don't think kids should be punished for their parents crimes and I don't think parents should be punished for their kids crimes.

I wonder what would happen if the girls refused to visit their father? Will they be forced to visit him?

867490 2010-03-16 05:33:00 Well - even if you had got it right, there's a precedent (in NZ) for children paying for the crimes of their parents.

We poor taxpayers are paying for the alleged crimes of our forefathers via the continuous "full and final" Treaty Settlements process....

867491 2010-03-16 05:49:00 How is that punishing? You have some serious cognitive dysfunction there mate. The whole thing is meant to be the best for both parties, kids and father. Whether or not it's going to turn out for the best is a different matter, no one is going for punishment of the kids for what the father did. qazwsxokmijn (102)
867492 2010-03-16 05:52:00 It's not punishment to have money taken off you that could be better spent on hospitals and education?

For 'crimes' that occurred up to 150 years ago???

867494 2010-03-16 10:29:00 And this is not applicable in NZ anyway.

Also you don't think....................................period.
