| 867193 | 2010-03-14 21:28:00 | A friend asked me this morning what could be wrong - he's got an Acer M3200, WinXp, that can't find Windows on startup and asks for a reinstall of Windows every time it starts. ("Switching off seems to wipe Windows totally"). He then reinstalls from the OEM partition. It sounded to me like the CMOS battery being flat, but what would I know. I haven't seen the PC nor did I try and start it myself. Just thought I would ask. He's kind of sure that it isn't infected - due to the reinstalls. Any ideas? sarel |
