| 866433 | 2010-03-12 08:10:00 | Hi, I am with Xnet on their 256k plan and I use 3GB a month . Going with FS/256k is worth looking into . I am not familiar of what is out there, grateful for your advice . Many thanks . |

I may change too, but I cant go with telecom, unless I add my name to the phonebill, or my flatmate pays for the internet (then I pay her back) . Too much mucking around . I could go with Orcon, by I dont fancy paying $79-80 a mth for 15 GB . When I may not even use all of it . I'm on 15 GB with Xnet now, but I've never gone over 15 GB since Oct 2006, (max has probably been just over 10) The only thing I like about Xnet, is you only pay for what you use . I dont think any other ISP has the same kind of thing . You dont use all of it, it doesnt get added to the next mth . And you'll still paying the full price And the free data downloads, you get with MS and GP site . And thats about it lol . Cant say much for the speed, since right now it sux a$$ |

| 866436 | 2010-03-12 08:26:00 | Thanks Speedy :) I am in Wellington, not looking into ADSL2+ b/c I don't know if my lines support that, doubt it, a few yrs ago I could only get 2 or 3Mbit. Telstra is like a 5min drive away from me. I guess I would be happy to pay around Xnet prices, I pay now $30 that includes 3GB, may consider going to FS/256k too, Xnet charges - cannot get onto their homepage now. 3GB i so I use v close to that then throttle back. Don't use much GP or MS. |

They have unbundled BB in some parts of Wellington. They are my ISP. If you post a problem on there website there help desk even sometimes ring you up to talk about it. :) |

| 866441 | 2010-03-12 20:44:00 | Whoever you go with, it doesn't really matter. All the ISPs are pretty the same in NZ. ISP A can be damn good today but they may change from damn good to damn bad tomorrow. There are many examples in the past. Just get one YOU are comfortable with. |

| 866442 | 2010-03-12 21:09:00 | Thanks the Actrix looks ok 256k at $30 like now I am with Xnet or $40 for FS/128k. The Orcon Purple (non +) doesn't look bad either upgrade the 1GB to a 3GB. I see Actrix has a $10 discount if you put your tolls to them - do you have to spend a min amount to qualify? What about Orcon in this regard? For Actrix, what are their prices for ADSL2+ just out of interest, I cannot seem to see info re: a diff series of plans for ADSL2+ like other providers.... We won't have ADSL2+ until Dec 2010 or Jun 2011. |
