| 866308 | 2010-03-12 03:57:00 | Last night, Thurs and today I noticed it is very slow. Takes me 15mins to open up Pressf1. Email basically is dead (send and receive). "Unable to find email server" (MS Outlook). Mailwasher says "No such host, ensure that the POP3 server is correct". International sites as well. Location: Wellington. This post took 5min to initially upload (before the edit). |

Well magically the net worked fine, email still down, they said they don't support Mailwasher, so I had to delete all my email accounts in Outlook, they only support MS. So I did that .. still not working (just Xnet email). So delete again with him there and added Xnet .. Then .. biffed that and used Outlook Express and still no go. He puts me onhold and says he tried it and it worked from his side, and that net is working email should too. So it is my issue, they cannot help :D They asked me to uninstall Mailwasher and get a new email client like Thunderbird.......... He just said try Thunderbird, if it is still not working, then it's your computer, we cannot help that, thank you for your call and he hanged up ;) But .... he didn't say it, when he put me on hold, email worked. My internet also went up to 300+, I should be on 256k......... |

| 866315 | 2010-03-12 07:33:00 | I'm on Xnet with Opera 10.5 and Turbo enabled when the network is slow, comes up a lot lately. We are also on Fusion and having trouble with the phone, which now only works properly in off peak hours. Mate up the road has Orcon package that works perfectly OK. Some time ago they said they were having some sort of trouble with Telecom that reduced the service, but can't remember what. My opinion is they don't have enough bandwidth to support the load. I am looking for alternatives. Support is generally poor, maybe because they can't do much. | PPp (9511) | ||
