1141897 2010-10-05 08:37:00 I am seeking help re my 'HP Director'. I have an HP Pavilion 534a PC (purchased in April 2003) running Microsoft Windows XP.
I also have an HP PSC 2110 (printer.scanner/copier) connected to my PC.
There is an 'HP Director' short cut icon on my desktop which I believe is an application that manages use of the HP PSC 2110.
I have not used 'HP Director' for a while and now when I click on the short cut icon it goes nowhere and opens up nothing.
The path for this icon (which I got from 'properties' is: "C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\Digital Imaging\bin"
Can you please advise how I can get this icon to open up 'HP Director' again like it used to.
Thank you.

1141899 2010-10-05 20:35:00 The HP MFC/PFC software 'director' etc is just a lousy piece of software.
Ive come across all sorts of issues with it on clients PC's
the "The HP Solution Center software" is often just as bad.

Im some cases it just stops working, with NO FIX available.
Worst case, you might be able to use Windows 'scanner & camera' to access the scanner. (in control panel)
Also try uninstalling IE8 if the fixes in the link above doesnt work.
There were some unofficial 'hacks' to get it working with IE7 a few years back(on some versions of the software) , there may be some newer unofficial 'hacks' & fixes available.

The HP forums is a good place to look.
