| 1141827 | 2010-10-05 01:15:00 | My mate gave me this laptop to see if I could get it going cause he got a new one. The laptop rarely starts fully to desktop most of the time it powers up nothing shows on the screen the fan goes full speed and that is it. Has anyone else got this laptop and have the same problem? |

| 1141831 | 2010-10-05 02:17:00 | I'm on my 4th Thinkpad from 5 laptops I had. T40 is old, maybe it's time. If one looks after it, it may work but generally for most pple they just don't. Good years of service thou since 2004. You might be able to flash the bios. When it's working that is. |
