1141303 2010-10-03 07:27:00 Hi Guys

I have just built a new PC a few months ago

Asus with Windows 7

Lately it has hung up a few times.

The screen goes glassy with little green dots on it.

It reboots all OK, but it is a pain of course.

Any suggestions as to whether it would be the motherboard or the graphcs card or the extra hard drive I put in 2 weeks ago overloading the power supply ?

I can giev specs if required.

1141304 2010-10-03 07:41:00 Could be the vid drivers. Whats the video card and are the drivers the latest drivers? Speedy Gonzales (78)

Video card (vram) problem most likely (overheating?), maybe ram; what are the specs esp PSU capacity?
Is it overclocked?

1141306 2010-10-03 17:44:00 I kept getting random black screens on win7 running off the onboard graphics so chucked in a fanless 5450 Asus video card and not had one since.

So I would try video drivers first

Well do you remember doing it? Windows may have had a go - best to download the latest from ATIs website, install it and see if that fixes the issue.
