| 866039 | 2010-03-11 06:39:00 | So much for Broadband.. when we first got it, I was maxing out on 8mbits/sec... then it went slow to around 2mbits/sec.. back up to around 14mbits/sec.. now this is just pathetic. Can't even manage 1mbit. Maximum download speed i've achieved over the last few weeks is around 50kb/sec. And yes, I have 13GB left. Check my speedtest (www.speedtest.net) :mad: |

| 866040 | 2010-03-11 07:03:00 | Im with Xtra, download speeds are often in kb/s sometimes in single digits. When I have used my BB allocation I dont even bother trying to use the internet. |

Surely it's illegal? I'm on the fastest plan Vodafone offer with As fast as your line can go up and down. This isn't as fast as my line can go, crap, it feels like it's hardly broadband. I was just trying to download something from MS and it was moving at 13kb/sec.. and I am city central in Napier.. not understanding. |

| 866042 | 2010-03-11 07:11:00 | You gotta start being logical - is the slow overall performance caused by slow line speed or slow ISP performance? Do you know how far you are from your exchange/cabinet? What sort of line speed do you get compared with your neighbours? |

Do you know how far you are from your exchange/cabinet? What sort of line speed do you get compared with your neighbours? I would like to think I am logical-:p Asked the neighbours, they are with TelstraClear and they speedtested at 7mbits . I don't know exactly how far away I am, but judging by next door not so far . Very tempted to switch . |

| 866046 | 2010-03-11 07:15:00 | lol lucky you're not with Xnet then. The other day I tested mine on speedtest. Because Xnet asked me to, since I sent them an email saying it was crap. Checked it at 1/4 to 2, it was 4, about 7, it went to 1.21, 9 o'clock, it went to 0.13. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 866047 | 2010-03-11 08:18:00 | I not sure that Speedtest . net provides accurate results . I just tried it and got 1 Mbs download and 2 Mbs upload, which would have been a pretty awful result for my connection . I tried the Consumer speed test http://www . consumerspeedtest . org . nz/ and I got 9 . 88 Mbs download and 2 Mbs upload which is about spot on for what I pay for . So my first suspicion would be that Speedtest . net is trying to sell something to improve your slow speed but it isn't telling the true speed . |

| 866048 | 2010-03-11 08:46:00 | Mine is quite slow just now too, 1.8 MBS up, 0.78MBS down. It's normally a lot better than that, (XNet Fusion) | R2x1 (4628) | ||
