868736 2010-03-20 12:56:00 And a new one is due to be released in June (www.commodoreusa.net). Looks like it can take a dual or Quad CPU, up to 2 TB's, up to 4 GB DDR2 ram, a DVD-RW, has a GB NIC.

You can install XP, Win7, OSX (with additional hardware), or linux software on it. I have no idea why theyre calling it the commodore 64. It doesnt say anything about being able to run commodore (like amiga software). Probably because it uses a 64 bit CPU?

Looks pretty compact tho, all you need is a monitor / mouse. Everything is packed into the keyboard

More info about it here (www.pcworld.com l)

868737 2010-03-20 14:58:00 Great! Now all I need is a Way-Back machine with Mr . Peabody and Sherman ( . rockyandbullwinkle . com/main-enhanced . html" target="_blank">www . rockyandbullwinkle . com) to come with me .

I had the C>64 - and still HAVE a couple of C>1524 Floppy drives too!

868738 2010-03-20 19:02:00 Several other manufacturers have made a few keyboard as a computer varieties. When it comes to repairs or upgrades, you might as well have an Apple. You are locked into a single supplier with poor supply, few choices, and monopoly pricing. The Wintel (non-big-brand) PC is a pretty hard thing to beat for value. R2x1 (4628)

868740 2010-03-20 19:51:00 It claims to be able to boot from ANY USB device, (Their emphasis) that opens up new possibilities for my joystick, and the printer will be overjoyed to take a commanding role. ;)

It is hard to fault their "About us" page, it lays out the warranty plans very succinctly.

868741 2010-03-20 20:56:00 It's clever and looks cool, but I like things that I can upgrade...

But a touchpad? why?

868742 2010-03-20 21:01:00 Really?
I loaded it both in IE and FF, disabled adblocking and all else that might cause it but no, I still got this.

868743 2010-03-20 21:29:00 That is a succinct statement of "Warranty? Yeah, right. Here's your warranty" R2x1 (4628)
868744 2010-03-20 22:48:00 Looks cool although I think that only "older" people who are reminising would buy one. xyz823 (13649)
868745 2010-03-21 01:18:00 the whole website is kinda clunky, I wouldnt expect the pricing to be all that competitive either hueybot3000 (3646)
