| 867777 | 2010-03-17 00:51:00 | Carlsberg is probably the best beer in the world. On the topic of beer, anyone drink NZ Pure? I bought a box the other day and memorized the code from the competition so I could enter, but didn't look to see how to enter and googling isn't working. |

| 867781 | 2010-03-17 01:03:00 | I used to work out of Lichfield Fonterra Plant. The waste product was Whey. I used to wonder what I could get if I dropped heaps of sugar into a 650,000 litre tank and let it ferment. I could get 25,000 litres into my truck. |

Ken  (Except maybe the "Lucky" beer from some 40 odd years ago. Anyone else remember that shite :yuck: ) Yep, I remember Lucky Ken. Huge, very expensive advertising campaign up until the launch. There was Lucky Lager, Lucky Stout and Lucky Ale (I think). The brewery had paid heaps to a Hawaiian brewery for the use of the name Lucky as I remember. Then the launch, followed by sales of zilch. I think Claytons lasted on the market longer than Lucky. I have often wondered if anyone in the brewery lost his job over that fiasco. |
