1142511 2010-10-10 20:17:00 Google NZ and Google.com (when I search for something) are slow here sometimes. Sometimes, it times out. So its not just you. I think Google are having probs.

Facebook is OK tho.. The site loaded pretty quick.

I can check with teamviewer, if you want. So, I can see whats happening

1142512 2010-10-10 20:29:00 No problems with the speed of Google or Facebook, and I spend hours using both daily. Potentially a browser, DNS, caching, PC or ISP issue ;) Chilling_Silence (9)
1142513 2010-10-12 17:59:00 I've discovered that my computer can't do any kind of search at all!
Not on just Google, etc.
but also PressF1 for instance, Windows Help and Windows Search as well.

FireFox,s "error console" reports under "Errors" strange things like "changing_thumbs is undefined", "Google is not defined", "Browser is not defined", " jQuery is not defined"and "no element found"

I also got a message "repair couldn't continue because the DNS cache needed to be cleared."
Well I can't find DNS cache, or any mention of it anywhere.
Can anyone how to get to it?

I can't reinstall windows. When I put the XP disc in the drive I get the message that it cannot proceed because the disc contains an older version of windows.

1142519 2010-10-15 09:28:00 Fire Firefox ... Get a Google :D

If you are to referring Google Chrome, I have tried, but Chrome Thinks it is part of Fire Firefox! It produces no unique content.

I have been booting from the CD otherwise things wouldn't be working.
Otherwise I don't know what you mean.
