| 869036 | 2010-03-22 04:14:00 | Sounds like it was awesome Joe. Wish I was there. And by the way... don't let Kiwis or Aussies fool you about vegemite or the NZ version of marmite. They're both lousy. Only genuine Marmite and Bovril and Our Mate are acceptable yeast-based spreads. |

| 869043 | 2010-03-22 15:39:00 | Hey! I know Bovril - we get it here in the States too . My grandmother (Irish/English) made a hot cuppa this stuff every day of her life and she lived to 97 y/o . Well - we THINK she was alive that long . The Bovril may have kept her body moving after she was long dead . I'm pretty sure she died at 21, but didn't know it . She had 19 children - only 6 survived - well "children" might be a stretch . "Spawn" was more like it . Come to think of it - she always kinda looked dead all the time I knew her . I'm also pretty sure that she never knew where kids came from - kinda a blessing/malediction thing that happened by evil spirits having their way with her at night where she hung by her toenails from the closet cross bar . |
