| 868203 | 2010-03-18 02:30:00 | Are you keen on sport? Do you support The Bulls, The Cheetahs or The Force? Perhaps your team, be they The Hurricanes, The Blues or The Crusaders, . Yes. Oh, men grappling over a ball. That's not sport. Sport is superfast cars going round a track. |

| 868204 | 2010-03-18 03:26:00 | As Professor Joad used to say, it all depends on what you mean by sport. My dad took me to a football match once, you know, the game with the round ball, not the game where they throw themselves at the ground... maybe around 1944, saw Aston Villa B team play Birmingham City B team. Never been to a game since, and little or no interest in watching others play, participating is/would be better. Used to be in the school swimming team and the water polo team, enjoyed that, but not watching others, except the girls....and used to sneak off wednesday sports afternoon, take a mate on the back of the motorbike and go to Droitwich Spa lido for a swim. I even got roped into the Lucas apprentices cricket team once to make up the numbers and we played Lucas Girling works at Cymbran. Other school sports activities took place down a bank behind the tennis courts. Never one much for group sports activities, prefered just one or two friends, like when going tramping, or even better, tramping on ones own with just the dog.:clap |
