868028 2010-03-17 19:45:00 yeah but I was wondering if I am in a Prime central area
You are quite distant, and in a somewhat tricky reception area so you will need a fairly high antenna as well as one with quite a few elements. Have a look at your neighbours' antennas, check who gets a good picture and try for something in the middle of the pack as regards the number of elements among those with a good picture. Some of the smaller ones will only give a good picture on favourable days, while the ones with a thicket of elements may only illustrate that somebody encountered a very motivated salesman.

868029 2010-03-17 19:48:00 would a 3 storey house be tall enough? nedkelly (9059)
868030 2010-03-17 20:01:00 Do you know which direction the transmitter is and can you see it from the top of your 3 storey house and if you can you should be alright. Do any of your neighbors have Freeview HD and what is there reception like.
:)

868031 2010-03-17 20:16:00 I have no idea about the transmitter. I dont really have that much to do with my neighbours. nedkelly (9059)
868032 2010-03-17 20:22:00 You could try building the coat-hanger antenna

868033 2010-03-17 20:30:00 I have no idea about the transmitter. I dont really have that much to do with my neighbours.

How about actually going outside and looking at what other people have and the direction most UHF aerials are pointing.
