1142182 2010-10-06 14:27:00 I toasted one of my computer so I figure I'll take the old 5 year old case and put a i3 CPU which I think is better than my E6550 Intel. I was going to build a i5 or i7 but I'm not sure about the case, if I should get a new one or not. If I should get a new case then I'll go with a i5. It's been 3 years since I built a computer so any tips would help. Thanks. lostsoul62 (16011)
1142183 2010-10-06 17:36:00 post a list of what parts you are thinking about using here for analysis, also what do you use the computer for? Gaming, work, general stuff (email, youtube etc). gary67 (56)

Cases aren't important really. Your choice of CPU shouldn't have anything to do with the case.

If it's a standard ATX case and you're happy with it, then leave it. What does matter is the PSU - never use a bundled PSU.
