1142063 2010-10-06 04:42:00 Hey guys,I just purchased a new pc and for the last 3 days the monitor resets itself as in goes back to default settings. It does it after I turn it on.I think it has something to do with windows update.
Its a Samsung 2350,running windows 7 64bit.

1142064 2010-10-06 04:49:00 Windowsupdate?? Like what? So, its a branded PC? Is it set to the right resolution? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1142065 2010-10-06 04:50:00 like the automatic update,no its a Computer Lounge build. sk69ersnz (13476)
1142066 2010-10-06 04:52:00 Change it from auto to something else then. Is it up to date? Did you install the video card drivers? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1142067 2010-10-06 04:53:00 They should of done that I hope,I paid for them to configure it. sk69ersnz (13476)
1142068 2010-10-06 05:00:00 Well, you wont know till you check and see if its on auto or something else. Configure may mean hardware not the software thats on it Speedy Gonzales (78)
1142069 2010-10-06 05:06:00 think I sussed it,ran the monitor cd and it says it installed correctly,I hope.I'll see how it goes in the next few days, not used to windows 7.Thanks mate. sk69ersnz (13476)
1142070 2010-10-06 05:13:00 Sounds like a driver / videocard prob. Or the resolution is too high Speedy Gonzales (78)
1142071 2010-10-06 05:22:00 driver I think, restarted a couple of times and its working properly. When I hooked up the monitor I didn't run the cd.It seemed to do it automatically, would that of been the issue? sk69ersnz (13476)
1142072 2010-10-06 05:29:00 Dont think it'd matter whether the monitor drivers are installed or not. Since most dont need one. Windows default driver is good enough Speedy Gonzales (78)
