I hope the weather Gods are friendly to those having a outdoor/BBQ meal today and safe travels to those on the roads today. To those having a quiet Christmas I hope you take some time for yourself to relax and put your feet up for the day. :) For the first time I have got everything organised for today (cleaning, decorating, setting tables and preparing food) ahead of time so no last minute rushes. Although, I have just pulled out a recipe for cheesy garlicy pull-apart bread rolls that I am tempted to whip up now I have some "spare" time before Christmas lunch. :nerd: |

I'm off to deepest darkest West Auckland to join with some Westy friends at what promises to be a high octane brunch, later to contemplate the usual socks and other stuff I don't really need. A senior relative gave me a very neat leather wallet (sans folding stuff inside, I'm sad to report) that I'll now have to figure out what to do with, in these days of only carrying round with me just a couple of bits of plastic ... Anyway, it's all good, and I hope everyone has as lovely a day as mine has been so far, and promises to be for what's left of it. And I went up the laundromat this morning to dry the washing, and of course the sun came out when we got back!! Sunny and hot since lunchtime. |
