1454080 2018-10-04 18:08:00 First - some specs:

Android v 7 . 0
WebView Implementation: Chrome Stable
Firefox v 62 . 0 . 3 (rel: Oct 2, 2018)

When I wanted to open an email from GMail in a webpage, I used to have the option to open it in Chrome Browser in a drop-down in the Three Dot, email, not the INBOX top right corner .

Somehow* I lost that ability, but really would like to open in Firefox Browser instead of the old (and only) choice of Chrome .

Where is that setting offered? I have poked and touched everywhere I can imagine and I know it's just a simple default setting ---- somewhere!

(* I know the reason why Chrome is not offered any more - I killed the app because I got aggravated by Chrome freezing my tablet for 60 seconds .

I posted a Trouble Note to Chrome and they replied that they know of the problem and it would be fixed next repair-cycle
.
I chose to not wait and have been trying to get the FF Browser to open .
Instead I now get Samsung Browser offered as the only option and I'm NOT GOING THERE!)

At this time, I have reloaded Chrome in my Samsung Tablet A with Stylus --> but it cannot (or it will not) re-synch with all my passwords and I don't want to reset them all for every site I visit on the tablet .

My other devices are still running nicely with Chrome and FF and Google all synch'd OK .

It's just the tablet - which I admit - I screwed up just a tad!

1454081 2018-10-04 21:04:00 reset it , then resetup & it should ask if you want to resync during the initial (re)setup stage . It should import most of your settings from the cloud .
or there will be a setting to enable syncing. You will need to have the tab logged into google (google login/pass)

Opening in FF , just set FF as the default browser . Google search will show you where to set FF as the default (Different Android versions have some settings in differenet places)

1454082 2018-10-04 22:45:00 Oh-h-h - I didn't think of a factory reset. That may be the answer, my friend!

I can just take my SD-mini out and that way I don't lose all my important stuff.

Good on ya!
