Have a computer here with outlook 2010 on it. It defaults to a gmail address that is set up for IMAP, the outlook continuously syncs to the gmail due to being set up as Imap and makes the program slow very slow, Can I change the gmail to pop3 and alter the settings in outlook or will it screw something up if I do that |

You can you just wont have the separate folders, like Imap / the gmail site. Or forward emails from Gmail to your normal ISP acct. Then emails from Gmail will come through. It'll save you setting up Gmail in OL
I have the same prob with Gmail here, so forwarded it to my normal email instead (it kept causing errors / timing out) |

Yeah I think I would need to delete the Imap account in OL and re create it as a Pop3 since it throws up errors when I try and change it |

Probably because it'll delete the folders Imap created. |
