| 869573 | 2010-03-23 23:56:00 | Hi all, My mother had some building work done on her South Auckland house recently. A gust of wind lifted a large tarpaulin which pushed her TV aerials out of horizontal alignment. I've looked all over the place for alignment instructions for Auckland's analog VHF and UHF channels, without success. She's located in the Howick/Whitford area, a little out in the countryside. She has a "normal" TV aerial (L4609 on the link below) as well as a UHF aerial (L4712 on the link below). www.dse.co.nz Any tips or how-to welcome and much appreciated! |

The antennas shown are not particularly sharp in directional sensitivity, a minor change in direction may be helpful if ghosting is present. | R2x1 (4628) | ||

| 869578 | 2010-03-24 22:01:00 | Surely you can look to the west and see the transmitter atop Waiatarua? It is a very large mast and can be seen from most places in Auckland. Just point your aerial in that direction. Easy peasy. | Roscoe (6288) | ||

Not even Sky tower. We see the southern end of Waiheke from our window. Good to hear that you are not risking life and limb. Reception from Waiatarua is good on Waiheke so I would think you should almost see it. Best advice, so far, from R2x1 - same as next door. |
