870162 2010-03-28 00:38:00 We were pirating well before it became so easy and so fashionable.

We were recording friends' LPs to cassette long before pirating became a naughty word. There was no such thing as copy protection in the 70s.

It took much longer - of necessity it needed to be done in real time - but the result was the same.

I have many pirated open reel and cassette tapes in my collection which I still listen to.
Ah, now we know who is one of the 37 voters for "Yes" :P

870163 2010-03-28 09:33:00 That won't happen.
What will happen is they will stop writing games for the PC and concentrate on consoles only.

Then modchips will become more popular.

They will never win, they might as well give up

870164 2010-03-28 09:46:00 Well modchps for the Xbox 360 may become more popular, but MS will probably kill it from going online. Like they did when Modern warfare 2 came out. All it'll be good for is a doorstop. Once MS disable the hdd as well. Why do you think people sold useless consoles on sites, like trademe, ebay etc Speedy Gonzales (78)
870165 2010-03-28 10:26:00 No idea, I don't like consoles anyway.

It is not physically possible to play and kind of FPS game with a Playstation\Xbox controller etc.

EA were going to put some crazy DRM into the Sims 3, but enough people told them to get stiffed that they changed it.

Agreed or you will play online using their hardware, no need for consoles either, basically if you dont have the internet you wont be playing

870168 2010-03-29 13:34:00 I was forced to

The new command and conquer 4 . There's no demo version of it and there's so many negative reviews I had to try it somehow?

Downloading it was the wisest decision I ever made and I am happy to say I've saved myself $100 .

haha yea don't bother "buying" Supreme Commander 2 either, another recent crap tastic major RTS. Blizzard better not screw up Starcraft 2 I think its the last hope for a decent RTS in 2010.

From Gamespot

Short, limp campaign that concludes with a thud
You always have to be connected to the Internet, even in offline modes
Limited scope, limited excitement.

What the hell?
