869262 2010-03-23 03:20:00 And single parents with 6 year olds should work too? WHo pays the childcare? Oh of course, they pay it out of their huge wages.

And what jobs? I still can't get one.
Last time I looked, 7500 people were applying for 250 crappy jobs at the new Countdown.

Idiots with no direct experience of having to scrape in every last cent should shut up and count themselves lucky they are not in this situation.
Yet.

What was stopping a lot of people on the dpb doing part time work, was once they went went over the $80 a week their were penalized and worse off. Who pays for child care, well the government does. Their will be entitled to 20 hours a week free child care

869264 2010-03-23 03:44:00 Have you any idea where National are going to find the jobs for these people to go and do?

Thats what I would like to know.

John Key seems to have forgotten that we have just come out of recession and business's are not hiring people at the moment.

If business's are looking to hire people then they are looking for experienced people who have been in the job and know what they are doing instead of hiring somebody who has no idea what to do.

869266 2010-03-23 03:52:00 Doesn't matter if there are jobs for them or not.
National promised to hammer them, and you all voted for it,
so hammer them they damn well will!

(Perhaps the Govt will issue a spade to every beneficiary and
put them to work "down't pit" seeing as they'll need
mine workers soon in all our lovely National Parks)

869267 2010-03-23 04:05:00 Due to the drugs (prescription drugs), I used to take, their side effects (unfortunately - even tho I no longer take any, but dont regret going off them, for my health / memory loss because of them), kind of made me withdrawn / wary of what, or who's around me. Since I decided to stop taking them myself, I can remember everything (before I couldnt remember anything for more than 5 mins)

I've got whats called social phobia. Not something, I like. I can't handle / deal with crowds. Even tho, I did work for 15-16 yrs in 2 govt dept's. I couldnt go to meetings, because of this. Which includes going to things like interviews. If I get too tensed up, I can hyperventilate

Social Phobia is not a uncommon and there is a lot of help around.

869268 2010-03-23 04:14:00 The dpb mentality has to be broken, Having children shouldn't be a career choice, You shouldn't be able to **** into a payrise.

Breaking the cycle is going to hurt, the sooner its done the better.

And I'll be keen as for a job in one of the mines.

869269 2010-03-23 04:32:00 The mines will mean more jobs so i am all for it gold and nickel might as well be out of the ground than in it. We want to play catch up with oz well mining might be the way to go. The cycle way project isnt going very fast. I thought they were going to give it death and make a concrete path from Cape Maria van Demien to Bluff rfn.The tight labour market has its advantages I dont get so much lip from the school bus drivers anymore even when I bait them. prefect (6291)

Not yet. My Dr was going to get me to go to some psychologist for free (they normally charge $150-160 an hr IIRC). But, the way he said it, (since I would get counseling for free, dont fail), it put me off. So, I'm not going to bother going there. I even went to a psychologist while I was working (that didnt work either). I may send Phobic trust an email. And see what happens

If they had a staff based kitchen there, then I'd be keen for a job there too.
