Loved them more than his wife! You don't find it hard to understand why he loved his pigeons more than Nora do you? I came face to face with "Nora" in 2004, and was so taken aback I forgot to notice whether she had wrinkled stockings. And Pearl gave me a dazzling smile - could have knocked me over with a feather. |

Loved them more than his wife! Used to love that old programme, especially the older series with 'Compo'. The later series seem to have lost their way a bit. The original charm of the stories was that there was no real story. Just the old fellas doing their thing, whatever it may be. |
