870172 2010-03-26 19:23:00 Hi Guys

I am thinking of getting one of those new yellow Adata portable Hard Drives.
They have yellow plastic case, and say they are waterproof and bump resistant.

I want to use it to backup my data to and take it to another location in the car.

They look great, but I want to know if they are reliable. And do they have a mainstream brand of hard drive in them.

I say on one site that two had failed !

870173 2010-03-26 22:20:00 I have a Adata flash drive and have had no problems with it. Was one of the cheaper brands but it's been great. --Wolf-- (128)
870174 2010-03-26 22:34:00 Sold heaps of Adata drive/enclosures but none of their yellow ones. All the ones here (which are Adata Classic) have a 3 year warranty and I think they have Toshiba or Hitachi drives in them. wratterus (105)

That has "restored" my faith in them.
