1144309 2010-10-13 02:31:00 I recently had to reformat my C: drive and reinstall Windows XP. I'm in the process now of reinstalling apps, and trying to restore everybody in the family's configurations. I didn't have any data issues because I stored all my data in a My Documents folder on a second drive ( d). Once I got the PC running I set up a user account with my name, same as before. Then I reconfigured my profile to use the old My documents folder on d:. Very easy to do. I have one issue, though. I had one of my folders marked as private. The system will not allow me to view it. I then tried to delete it, so I could replace it with the same folder from my backup (which I can access). But, it will not even allow me to move or delete it. Any suggestions? robortiz59 (14239)
