871145 2010-03-30 18:52:00 I got this nice Genius mouse as a present (without the booklet and installation CD). Very nice, fits the hand beautifully. Saw on the Genius website some of the mice (wired) that looks like it (looks like Ergo 525), because I can not get it to click on anything first time - you have to click 2, 3 times before anything happens. I thought I should download the drivers and other files of a mouse that looks similar and see if I can change the settings. This the way to go?

Btw, I saw that this mouse had a chip in it that overshadows my PC by about 1000% - very fancy mouse, very crappy PC. LOL

Is there no model number on a sticker underneath the mouse?

871148 2010-03-31 00:31:00 Nah, not even a name on it. The only way I know it is a Genius : I found the box it came in, and it had Genius as part of some very fine script. I'll take a pic and post it tomorrow. Mind you, I'll check again on the sticker bit - I was sure it only had the wattage and voltage.

871149 2010-03-31 02:09:00 If its the Ergo 525 download the drivers from Genius ( support / Drivers / From the drop down boxes, mouse then model number - Select OS, and download. They are about 80 MB (http://www.imagef1.net.nz/files/Mouse.jpg" target="_blank">www.geniusnet.com/) Service & support / Drivers / From the drop down boxes, mouse then model number - Select OS, and download. They are about 80 MB (http:) in a zipped file.

The mouse should work as a basic Mouse even without the drivers. Could be the left click is to hard and needs to be adjusted in the control Panel under the mouse settings.

871150 2010-03-31 18:07:00 Thanks WT, I found those drivers too. Nothing on the sticker. Looks as if the mouse was rebranded, to be given out as promo material. I'm going to try the Genius drivers in any case.

SWMBO's camera is a bit stuffed so I couldn't take a pic. B*gger.
