| 870992 | 2010-03-29 23:03:00 | Got a gas camping lantern its the type where you screw in the base the butane cylinder is pierced by a pin think there are gas stoves the same. The cannister has no thread. Problem is when I screw the cannister in it does not seal just tried it before with a bit of silicon on the rubber seal didnt work. After wasting 3 cannisters and probably endangering my health with all the gas leaking out I have come to the conclusion I need to change the rubber seal. My problem along with all the other problems of the world resting on my shoulders is I cant find a place which sells the seal. Bought lantern from kmart they had nothing tried mitre10 mega but young indian there was looking pretty vacant when he said they didnt have anything. Its an Italian lantern and the cannister is made in Italy this aint no commie chinese rubbish. Can anyone help need it for easter (seagull race down waikato river) |
