Housing costs are comparable with Auckland if buying, cheaper if renting. Cost of living lower, and incomes a lot higher - if you can acclamitise, learn to live with the occasional snake in the garden, the odd poisonous spider, sharks at the beach , and redneck Aussies, it can be quite a good place to live - About 500K Kiwis call Australia home. It worth some serious thought and a look PS. I would have suggested the University of Auckland as a place to look for work, I retired from UoA at end of 2000, but you know the setup there. There a 3 Universities in Brisbane with 5 campus' in all. |
