In the event the prosecuting authority actually charge a person they still have to prove the case. Quite right - but only likelihood of detection acts to some extent as a deterrent, not the severity of the punishment. |

Sorry Zqwert for lumpling you in with 12V and SmartyNZ,at least you would be out front selling the daily worker. |

It is reflective of an individuals debating skills if you are only left with personal insults rather than arguing the point. Keep it on track and no more personal digs. |

| 871655 | 2010-04-01 19:29:00 | We ARE in a recession. People are being laid off and turing towards crime to pay the bills, its either that or live on the streets. And once people start off with petty crimes they will start to get more confident and start doing heaver crimes. Then when the realise how easy it is and how powerful you feel, they will head into voilence. I was talking to a violent offender the other week (ex offender - he has done his time) and he used to specialise in homw invasions. Now he said that he could have robbed the house during the day and not have had to deal with the occupants. But he loved the power and the feeling he got from being in control of the people when the wake up to someone coming in the window or door. |

The Daily Worker hasn't been published since 1966 when it was relaunched as The Morning Star. If you want to appear clever at least get your facts right. Martynz |
